Newlyweds Russell Brand, Katy Perry Honeymoon in Maldives
NEW YORK (CBS/AP) Newlyweds Russell Brand and Katy Perry jetted off to the Maldvies on Monday after tying the knot over the weekend at a luxury resort near a tiger reserve in northwestern India.

The British comedian and the pop singer boarded a helicopter near Ranthambhore National Park and arrived in the city of Jaipur, where they took a chartered flight to the Maldives, Jaipur airport director R.K. Singh told the Associated Press.
The nation of tiny coral islands in the Indian Ocean is renowned for its high-end resorts.
Friends of the couple joined them on the flight, Singh added.
Under tight security, the couple said "I do" at the exclusive Aman-e-Khas resort on Saturday.
Although she wore a traditional Indian sari for the pre-wedding festivities, Perry reportedly walked down the aisle in a dove grayElie Saab haute couture dressthat featured lace sleeves.
"The very private and spiritual ceremony, attended by the couples' closest family and friends, was performed by a Christian minister and longtime friend of the Hudson Family. The backdrop was the inspirational and majestic countryside of Northern India," the couples rep said in a statement obtained by People magazine.
