New Polanski Accuser: "He Sexually Abused Me in the Worst Possible Way"

(CBS/AP) Actress Charlotte Lewis, spoke at a news conference Friday in Los Angeles, saying that director and convicted child rapist Roman Polanski sexually abused her in 1982, four years before she appeared in Polanski's "Pirates" film.

"Mr. Polanski knew that I was only 16-years-old when he met me and forced himself upon me in his apartment in Paris," Lewis, 42, said in a press conference viewable at RadarOnline.com. "He took advantage of me and I have lived with the effects of his behavior ever since it occurred. All I want is justice."

Lewis said of Polanski, "He sexually abused me in the worst possible way when I was just 16-years-old."

District attorney's spokeswoman Sandi Gibbons acknowledges Lewis met with a prosecutor handling Polanski's 33-year-old sex case involving another woman. Gibbons would not comment further.

Lewis' attorney Gloria Allred says she hopes her client's allegations will affect sentencing for Polanski, who is under house arrest in Switzerland and is fighting extradition. He pleaded guilty in 1977 to having sex with a 13-year-old girl but fled to France.

Polanski's attorney Chad Hummel was not immediately available for comment.
