New Mom Jennifer Hudson Is Doing It All

At the age of 28, Jennifer Hudson already has an Oscar and Grammy under her belt. With a new baby, an upcoming high-profiled movie and an album in the works, Hudson is still at the top of her game and is showing zero signs of stopping.

"It's tough for sure -- I'm dividing myself up in several ways. I just take it one step at a time," Hudson said when asked about how she juggles motherhood and the demands of work.

As Weight Watchers' newest spokesperson, the newly svelte mom will be celebrating her first Mother's Day this Sunday, despite her crazy schedule.

Although far from her Chicago hometown, Hudson is happy and looks forward to celebrating the holiday in New York City with her family, fiancé David and baby David Jr., who was born back in August 2009.

Hudson will soon be in South Africa filming for her next role in "Winnie," a biopic based on Nelson Mandela's ex-wife. Hudson will take on the lead, playing Winnie Madikizela-Mandela, one of South Africa's most prominent female figures and symbols of the anti-apartheid struggle.

"There is tons of pressure, but it's an honor to play this role," she said.

During the day, Hudson is busy working with her dialect coach in preparation for the movie and at night, she's in the studio recording her next album. The former "American Idol" finalist is still in the early stages of the recording process, but confirms that her sophomore album will take on a new direction from her last.

"I'm more hands on and it will be more feel-good," she said.

Hudson recently lent her voice for the "Sex and City 2" soundtrack and recorded a duet with Leona Lewis for the movies theme song. Although familiar with the land of Manolo Blahniks, having played Carrie Bradshaw's personal assistant, Louise, in the series first film, Hudson's character does not return for the sequel.

On top of her jam-packed schedule, Hudson also continues to lend her support to the "7-Eleven Coffee Cup With A Cause" charity, where she personally designed coffee cups to benefit the Boys & Girls Clubs of America, an organization that is close to her heart.

"I have great childhood memories at the Boys & Girls club," she said. "It stuck in my mind because I would love to see kids get the same opportunities."

Hudson's custom cups will be available at 7-Eleven stores across the U.S. from now until May 31.
