Nevada School Shooting Update: 2 dead, 2 hurt after gunfire at Sparks Middle School, report says

(CBS/AP) SPARKS, Nev. - Police say two people are dead and two more are injured in a shooting at Sparks Middle School in northern Nevada Monday morning.

A Sparks police dispatcher says the call came in at 7:16 a.m. Monday.

According to the Reno Gazette-Journal, two males who are both minors, were taken to the Renown Regional Hospital and are now listed in critical condition.

The school was reportedly evacuated and students were taken to Sparks High School where parents were asked to pick them up. Classes have been cancelled for the day.

The paper reports the shooter died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

Further details weren't immediately available.

Sparks is a city just east of Reno.
