Netscape's New Communicator 4.5

Netscape is hoping to win users back with its latest version, Communicator 4.5. Netscape's Julie Herendeen...

"First we've got a new set of features called smart browsing. And with smart browsing, it's much easier to find web sites on the net. Now you no longer need to type a complex URL to get to a site you're looking for. All you need to do is type a regular word, like Mickey Mouse, and it will send you directly to the Disney web site."

New features in Communicator 4.5, like What's Related, should make browsing better for the masses...

"The feature called What's Related basically allows an end user to see a dynamically generated list of sites and services that are related to the site they're looking at. So if they're looking at a site called Ford Ranger, they can now see a list of sites that are related to Ford Ranger. Maybe other products that are similar to Ford Ranger, perhaps a consumer report on cars in that category."

Another nice new feature allows you to store your personal bookmarks and address book online, so where ever you are browsing from, the information is there. Communicator 4.5 for Windows, Macs and Unix is a free download at netscape.com.
