(CBS/WBTV) CHARLOTTE, NC - Police say a North Carolina woman was arrested Monday morning after allegedly throwing hot grease on her neighbors during a weekend fight, injuring eight.

The Charlotte Observer reports police say Regina Terry was arrested in Richmond County about 70 miles southeast of Charlotte, where the incident occurred Saturday afternoon. Terry was charged with multiple counts of assault with a deadly weapon and malicious maiming.

Neighbors of the woman reportedly say they heard arguing for about 10 to 15 minutes and then watched a woman from one apartment throw hot grease on people from the neighboring apartment, reports CBS affiliate WBTV. Neighbors reportedly say Terry fled after the incident.

According to WBTV, the victims range in age from 1 to 42. Four of those injured were taken to a burn center and two others were treated at a local hospital. Medics returned to the scene around 6 p.m. Saturday and transported a 3-year-old to the hospital to treat superficial burn wounds to her arms.
