Nate Berkus Moves Out Of Oprah's Shadow

(CBS) Chicago syle guru Nate Berkus is following in the footsteps of Dr, Phil McGraw, Rachael Ray and Dr, Mehmet Oz.

After more than 80 appearances on "The Oprah Winfrey Show," the 38-year-old interior designer has his own daytime show, which premieres today.

The New York-based show will feature celebrities and design segments but will focus on conversations with everyday people. Early guests will include Dolly Parton anjd Elizabeth Edwards.

"Basically it's an art show," the openly gay designer, whose boyfirend die din t he 2004 Thailand tsunami, told New York magazine. "There's going to be a lot of design -- a lot of beautiful high-quality design, but in a way that people can achieve that's really accessible."
