Natalie Portman thanks fitness coach after Oscar win (PICTURES)

(CBS) After winning an Oscar last night for her performance in "Black Swan," Natalie Portman gave a shout out to the trainer who helped prepare her for the title role.

"Mary Helen Bowers spent a year with me training me," Portman gushed about the ballerina-turned-fitness-coach who helped the actor get a long, lithe dancer's body.

Just how did Bowers transform Portman's body? Not simply by making Portman hit the gym, but by leading her through a series of ballet-specific exercises.
