Naked man chased, shot at armed robbers, say Phila. police

(CBS) PHILADELPHIA - Police are looking for three armed men  in connection to a home invasion in northeast Philadelphia Tuesday.

CBS Philadelphia reports authorities said that at about 2 p.m., one suspect knocked on the door of a home and when a child answered the door, three men forced their way into the residence.

A 27-year-old man was in the shower at the time. His wife and two children were home as well. The man heard the commotion and jumped out of the shower and confronted the intruders.

The man was pistol whipped, according to police, but was able to wrestle the gun away from the suspects and chase them out of the house, firing eight shots.

Neighbors say the homeowner, still naked, chased the men out of his house and onto the street.

Police say bullets struck neighboring homes, but it is unknown if the suspects were wounded.

The homeowner suffered minor injuries.
