The crowd of about 100-200 people marched down Steinway Street, considered one of the centers of New York City's Egyptian-American community.
The group included men, women and children.
They chanted in Arabic, "Long live Egypt," and "freedom."
Yasser Noreldin, 34, moved to U.S. ten years ago.
He said he brought his 4-year-old daughter Saleen to the celebration because he wanted her "to see the special moment."
