"Mrs. Doubtfire" home targeted by arsonist?

SAN FRANCISCO -- The San Francisco home made famous in the 1993 movie "Mrs. Doubtfire" may have been targeted by an arsonist Monday night, reports CBS San Francisco station KPIX-TV.

Authorities were called to the home around 8 o'clock after someone apparently tried to set fire to the garage door and front door, the station says. An accelerant, such as gasoline, may have been used.

Police remained on the scene until shortly past 11:00 p.m. No suspects have been identified.

The home, which was the setting for the film starring Robin Williams, regained notoriety last August after the death of the actor/comedian. The front of the home became a memorial to Williams, as fans dropped off flowers and placed notes.

Dr. Douglas Ousterhout, a plastic surgeon, currently owns the home. He told police he is having problems with a former patient, but isn't sure who might have attempted to burn the house.
