Mom delivers baby in moving minivan

DES MOINES, Iowa - An Iowa mother delivered her baby on the way to the hospital in a moving minivan.

Marriah Love and Kaleb Benge were on their way to Iowa Methodist Medical Center early Thursday morning, reports CBS Affiliate KCCI, when Love's water broke.

"I just kept telling him, 'She's coming!'" said Love.

As they neared Waukee, Iowa, on Interstate 80, the baby arrived as mom sat in the front seat of the minivan, reports KCCI correspondent Amanda Lewis.

"She started coming out. I didn't even have to push, she just came out and I pulled her the rest of the way out," said Love.

The time on the minivan's clock read 3:37 a.m.

"She was just sitting there holding her," Benge said. "I'm just like - wow!

"When I turned on the light and I look over and she's holding our daughter, it's just a feeling that I can't explain," said Benge. "Best feeling I've ever had in my life, I've got to say."

When they made it to the hospital, doctors confirmed the baby girl - 6 pounds, 11 ounces, and 18 inches long - was healthy.

Love and Benge said they have listed her place of birth on her birth certificate as "Interstate 80, Waukee."
