Minnillo Flies Solo At NYC Fashion Event

Vanessa Minnillo flew solo in New York on Tuesday night where she hosted the one-year anniversary party of Tracy Reese's flagship boutique in downtown Manhattan.

Her significant other, Nick Lachey, was not in tow for the very girly soiree.

"No guys like shopping I don't think, well, some guys do … no, he's working (tonight)," Minnillo told the The ShowBuzz's Poppy Harlow of Lachey.

The "TRL" veejay and "Entertainment Tonight" correspondent is a fan of Reese's clothes, which is why she was summoned as host.

"Just the colors and the flowing fabrics, and the fit and the tight waist that sucks everything in … I love everything about all of her clothes," Minnillo said of the designer.

According to Reese, many of her latest fashions are tango inspired. Minnillo likes the theme but she doesn't see herself dancing her way onto another TV show.

"I can't tango. We'll leave that to the 'Dancing with the Stars' people, but if they call, who knows?" she says.

Minnillo wants Joey Fatone to cross the finish line on the hit reality show, which eliminated its first contestant on Tuesday night.

"I am an 'N Sync fan. They performed for me at Miss Teen USA 1998, so the fact that Joey's in it now, I've got to root for him," she says. "I think Joey can do it, he can go all the way. He's so likeable, he's a big teddy bear and he can dance."

Recently, Minnillo has lent her name to other brands like Bongo and Estee Lauder. She appears in Bongo ads and is a "guest creator" for the limited edition Flirt Cosmetics collection.

"Bongo is fun. It just worked out with the demographic and MTV. It is a great, affordable line," she says. "But Flirt, I love Estee Lauder, and I love the brand. Pleasures has been my perfume since the eighth grade."

Minnillo is looking forward to a charity gala next month that she'll attend with Mr. Lauder and is wife, Evelyn. "It's a good thing and it's always great to give back," she says.
