Minka Kelly Pics: Esquire's "Sexiest Woman Alive" Proves It
NEW YORK (CBS) While baring her toned abs in a gray crop top and low-rise jeans, Minka Kelly graces the cover of the November issue of Esquire magazine as this year's "sexiest woman alive."
In the inside pages, the former "Friday Light Nights" actress remembers her fun childhood with her mom, who was an exotic dancer.
"She was a stripper," she says. "She would come home at like three, four o'clock in the morning, and she would wake me up in the middle of the night and we'd go grocery shopping. And that was so much fun."
At 30, Kelly, a former scrub nurse, says she has new sense of confidence and is more comfortable in her skin.
"Done with the twenties," Kelly says. "I'm confident - confident in my skin, and I'm cool with my flaws and all that stuff. It just feels nice to be at peace with yourself. I think my thirtieth birthday gave me permission to have all that."
"I've never done a sexy photo shoot before," Kelly -- who is dating New York Yankees captain Derek Jeter -- tells Esquire. "It was really liberating. It was exciting. I would look at the pictures, like, that's me?"
