Mike Comrie and Hilary Duff expecting first child

(CBS) There's a baby on the way for Hilary Duff and Mike Comrie.

The couple, who celebrated their first wedding anniversary this weekend, are expecting their first child together, the actress and singer announced on her website.

"I can't believe it has already been a year, time really flies when you're having fun!" Duff, 23, wrote. "We also want to share the exciting news that...BABY MAKES THREE!"

"We are extremely happy and ready to start this new chapter of our lives," she added.

Duff, whose claim to fame was starring in Disney's "Lizzie McGuire," and Comrie, 30, a Canadian hockey player, were married on Aug. 14, 2010, in Santa Barbara, Calif.
