Migrate All Your Firefox Extensions to Another PC
Savvy Firefox users know that the best way to keep bookmarks in sync across multiple PCs is with Foxmarks. But what if you also want to copy all your extensions (like these six favorites) to a second or new PC? Must you download and install each of them manually? Not if you follow the simple tutorial at Linux.com, which shows you how to "package" all your extensions into one installable file.
The process requires a pair of Firefox extensions: Firefox Environment Backup Extension (FEBE for short) and Compact Library Extension Organizer (a.k.a. CLEO). They sound complicated, but the whole exercise is pretty simple. Once you've generated the package, you can store it on a flash drive or someplace online (the author recommends using Gspace, another Firefox extension, which turns your Gmail account into a kind of Web-based hard drive). That would allow you to easily retrieve the package from any PC.
Definitely a handy hack for Firefox users!
