(CBS) Nickelodeon's "iCarly" has had a host of guest stars, but none as high level as upcoming guest star Michelle Obama.

In the show, the first lady heads up to Carly's home in Seattle when the teen's dad, an Air Force colonel, can't make it back home in time for his birthday party, forcing Carly (Miranda Cosgrove) and her friends, Sam and Freddie, to set up a webcam to talk to him, according to Entertainment Weekly.

Mrs. Obama surprises the gang to commend them for supporting military forces (the first lady recently launched the Joining Forces initiative in honor of troops and their families). The kids then invite Mrs. Obama to be on their web show "iCarly" and she joins them in the show's gags, including joining Carly and Sam in "random dancing," reports EW.

The first lady's episode is scheduled to air on Nickelodeon Jan. 16 at 8 p.m. ET/PT.
