Jennifer Hudson, Karolina Kurkova, Claudia Schiffer and Zoe Saldana were among the stars dressed in their Kors finest for the event last week, which was hosted by Charles H. Rivkin, the United States ambassador to France.
Others spotted at the event included Vogue editors Anna Wintour and Andre Leon Talley, as well as former French Vogue editor Carine Roitfeld. Famed photographer Mario Testino was also in attendance.
Mary J. Blige, decked out in a sparkly beige jumpsuit and fur coat (by Michael Kors, of course) performed.
Kors, 51, paid tribute to his mother, Joan, who has supported him throughout his career, according to the New York Times.
"Thank you for this wonderful bar mitzvah, Mom," he said.
The evening's seated dinner featured a menu of shrimp cocktail, filet of beef with truffle-mashed potatoes and a gooey chocolate cake, according to the report.
In addition to celebrating the Paris store, Kors' largest in the world at 7,000 square feet, the fete also marked the designer's 30th year in the fashion industry.
