Michael Douglas to Undergo Treatment for Throat Tumor

NEW YORK (CBS) Michael Douglas has a tumor in this throat, doctors have discovered.

Douglas' spokesperson told People magazine on Monday that the Oscar-winner will undergo eight weeks of radiation and chemotherapy, and his doctors expect him to make a full recovery.

"I am very optimistic," Douglas said in a statement, according to the report.

The actor's next film, "Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps," arrives in theaters on September 24.
