ShopItToMe has expanded the results of its latest survey on the best days to shop online to include menswear and children's clothing. The free online personal shopper analyzed over 89,000 men's, 26,400 girls' and 19, 200 boys' sale items that were marked down online between July 1-Dec 31, 2010. The data here shows the days the new markdowns were steepest.
Mens' Markdowns
Overall, if men are going to shop one day of the week online, make it Saturday, when discounts on all apparel and accessories average 40% off.
- Mondays: Best day to buy athletic shirts, which average 46% off.
- Mondays: Get your T-shirts on this day, when they average 42% off.
- Tuesdays: Biggest deals on accessories, an average 41% off.
- Saturdays: Best day to shop for casual pants. The average discount is 43%.
- Saturdays: Find the lowest prices on swimwear. The average discount is 46%.
- Sundays: Good day to buy dress pants for an average 47% off.
Boys' Markdowns
Saturday is also the best day of the week overall to find the lowest prices on boys' apparel. Discounts on this day average 37%. ShopItToMe found no patterns by clothing category here.
Girls' Markdowns
Sunday is the best overall day to shop for girls' clothes, with discounts averaging 37%. The rest of the week, find the best deals on the following categories:
- Wednesdays: Best day to buy casual shirts. Average price cut is 40%.
- Sundays: A great day for shoe shopping. Discounts average 39%.
