Melissa B. Gray Drugged Kids So Man Could Molest Them
MOBILE, Ala. (CBS/AP) Melissa B. Gray was sentenced Thursday to eight years in prison for drugging her two young children and offering them to a man to molest while unconscious.
The sick individual, who was once a school teacher at the Little Flower Catholic School, was charged with receipt and distribution of child pornography.
Law enforcement investigators say the 30-year-old drugged two young children in her Chickasaw home so they would be unconscious for a Florida man she met on the Internet.
Alabama news website AL.com reported that Gray was once a victim of sexual abuse as a child, according to defense attorney Neil Hanley.
Gray will have to register as a sex offender. The 30-year-old suffers from bipolar disorder and has struggled with a "Jekyll-and-Hyde" personality, attorneys say.
