Meg Ryan and John Mellencamp Dating
NEW YORK (CBS) Actress Meg Ryan has been spending time with rocker John Mellencamp.
The two have been spotted together in Martha's Vineyard and recently in New York, just as Mellencamp announced he and third wife Elaine Mellencamp had separated after 18 years of marriage.
A source told People magazine Tuesday that Ryan, 49, and Mellencamp, 59, have been dating for about seven weeks, and that Mellencamp and his wife had been separated for some time before that.
According to the report, the pair was seen having coffee on Martha's Vineyard, and grocery shopping in New York.
"She usually comes in by herself or with her daughter. I thought that was her husband because they seemed for comfortable and familiar with each other, just like an old married couple," an observer told the magazine.
Mellencamp has five children, including two sons with Elaine. Ryan divorced actor Dennis Quaid in 2001 after 10 years of marriage. They have an 18-year-old son, Jack Henry, and Ryan also has daughter Daisy True, 6, whom she adopted from China.
