Maya Rudolph and Paul Thomas Anderson welcome a son
(CBS) It's a boy for Maya Rudolph.
The actress and her partner, director Paul Thomas Anderson, welcomed their third child, a son named Jack, on July 3.
Rudolph's rep confirmed the baby news to People magazine on Tuesday.
The "Saturday Night Live" alumna and Anderson decided not to find out the sex of the baby before he arrived.
"The exciting part is not knowing who's coming," she told People back in May. "You have to wait nine months for a surprise, but then it's a good payoff because it really is a surprise."
Jack joins big sisters Pearl, 5, and Lucille, 20 months.
Rudolph will appear next in the NBC sitcom "Up All Night," alongside Christina Applegate and Will Arnett, premiering this fall.
