Mass. college students suspended over alleged sex assault

FRAMINGHAM, Mass. - Several students have been suspended as police are investigating an alleged sexual assault at Framingham State University in Framingham, Mass., reports CBS Boston.

Police on the suburban Boston campus said on Monday that officers are investigating a report that a female student was assaulted Saturday night into early Sunday morning.

The alleged sexual assault took place at a party off campus, as well as in an on-campus room belonging to an acquaintance of the woman.

"The alleged perpetrators have been identified, interim suspended, and restricted from campus while this matter is being investigated," campus police said in a bulletin.

"No ongoing threat to the FSU community has been identified."

Some students on campus said they are rattled by the reported assault.

"That's scary. And everyone here I'm pretty sure is pretty scared about it right now," Framingham State student Kayllan Olicio told CBS Boston.

"I honestly think it's a safe campus. But things like this just reinforce the fact that you shouldn't be trusting everyone here," Olicio added.
