Mass. man arrested for throwing french fries at stepdaughter

(CBS) LOWELL, Mass. - James Hackett, a Massachusetts man, was arrested on Friday for throwing french fries at his stepdaughter's face during a dispute, reports CBS Boston.

Hackett, 26, was leaving a McDonald's with his wife and young stepdaughter when the couple began arguing. He allegedly threw hot french fries at his stepdaughter's face when she began to chime in.

She was not seriously hurt.

Hackett pleaded not guilty to assault with a dangerous weapon and was later released on the condition that he stay away from his stepdaughter.

Hackett is scheduled to be back in court in August.
