(CBS) New dad Mario Lopez is writing a children's book for his baby daughter, due to be published Sept. 27.
The book titled "Mario and Baby Gia" (his daughter's name is Gia Francesca) is being published by Celebra Children's Books, an inprint of Penguin Group, according to reports in the Washington Post.
This is not the first book for the 37-year-old Lopez, who gained fame as Slater on the TV series "Saved by the Bell" and was a second-place finisher on "Dancing With the Stars" in 2006. He has written "Knockout Fitness," ''Extra Lean" and "Extra Lean Life."
Gia Francesca was born on Sept. 11, 2010, in Burbank, Calif., to Lopez's girlfriend Courtney Mazza, whom he met while performing on Broadway.
