Marie Osmond's Son Remembered at Service

Marie Osmond's 18-year-old son is being remembered by family as a funny person with a quick wit who taught others about the importance of service.

Services were held Monday in Provo - about 35 miles south of Salt Lake City - for Michael Bryan, the fourth of Osmond's eight children.

Police in Los Angeles have said Bryan died Feb. 26 in an apparent suicide after jumping from the eighth floor of the Metropolitan apartment building.

About 450 people attended the services, which included a hymn sung by Marie Osmond, Donny Osmond and five of their siblings.

One of five children adopted by Osmond, Bryan previously used his adoptive father's last name, Blosil. Records from Utah's 4th District Court show a judge had granted the teen a petition for a legal name change.

Flamingo Las Vegas says the Donny & Marie show will return to its normal performance schedule on Tuesday.

The show took a temporary break after Blosil's death.

Flamingo Las Vegas on Thursday also announced that there will be five extra show dates from April 13-17. The dates were originally unscheduled but were added to accommodate those who had tickets to recently canceled shows.

A grief-stricken Osmond released a statement to ET's Web site saying, "My family and I are devastated and in deep shock by the tragic loss of our dear Michael, and ask that everyone respect out privacy during this difficult time."
