Firefighters were called in to clean up the roughly 75 gallons of syrup that coated the road.

The Keene Sentinel reports that another driver flagged down the trucker, who was toting 220 gallons of syrup total, and alerted him to the leak.

Firefighters used sand -- a bit like kitty litter -- and tarps, to try to clean up the mess.
