(CBS/AP) MARIETTA, Ga. - A 23-year-old man has been arrested in Georgia for allegedly murdering his twin brother in Maryland four years ago.

Wael Ali was arrested Thursday in Marietta, outside of Atlanta, on charges of first-degree murder in the 2007 death of his twin, Wasel Ali. Wasel's body was found on a secluded dirt path in the woods in Columbia, Md. on Aug. 27, 2007, reports CBS affiliate WUSA. An autopsy showed that he died due to a neck injury.

Police say surveillance video from the day Wasel was reported missing shows the brothers leaving the Mall at Columbia after Wasel was fired reportedly for admitting to his manager that he was involved in a theft scheme stealing clothes, and implicated his brother Wael. The brothers parted and walked in opposite directions, with Wael driving off in his car and Wasel leaving on foot, WUSA reports.

A short time later, police say Wael Ali called a friend saying his brother was missing, but that he told friends he had already searched the area where Wasel Ali's body would be found five days later.
