Report: Arrest in Atlanta music studio fatal shooting
ATLANTA - Authorities have arrested a 22-year-old man in connection with a fatal shooting at a music studio last month in Atlanta, reports the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
Atlanta police said Christopher Ballard turned himself in at the Fulton County jail Thursday, according to the paper. He faces a murder charge in the death of 22-year-old Anthony Kirk Hill.
Hill's body was discovered by officers before 2 a.m. on July 12 in the hallway of a warehouse that served as a music studio in southeast Atlanta, states an incident report in the case. He had suffered a gunshot wound to the head and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police said a second victim who was not injured was located nearby and told officers that someone tried to rob him and Hill. A large group of people were at the studio and reportedly witnessed the incident, and a few were taken in for questioning.
Jail records state Ballard is currently being held at the Fulton County detention center without bond.
