Report: Child porn found during computer repair leads to arrest

BOYNTON BEACH, Fla. - Police say a man from Southeast Florida is charged with 10 counts of possessing child pornography after lewd images were discovered on his laptop by a Best Buy employee during a repair, reports the Sun Sentinel.

Jason Schrager, 38, brought four laptop computers to a Best Buy store in Boynton Beach for maintenance work in early April and during the repair, an employee came across what he believed to be child pornography, according to a police report obtained by the paper.

Employees at the store called the police, who then took the computers to their headquarters. The following day, an officer was waiting for Schrager at the store when he came to retrieve his laptops, according to the paper.

The police report indicates Schrager told detectives he had no interest in child pornography, reports the paper. However, when police searched Schrager's computer, they reportedly found over 20 images of child pornography involving victims between the ages of 6 and 11.

Schrager is being held without bail at the Palm Beach County Jail.
