Man arrested after burning body found near New York woods
MANORVILLE, N.Y. -- Suffolk County Police have made an arrest in connection with a dead man who was found burning in Manorville last week, reports CBS New York.
Bryan Rosales Mejia, 21, of Amityville, on Long Island, was arrested after a man's body was found burning within the Otis Pike Preserve on Thursday, according to officials. Police say a driver noticed a fire on the side of a road and discovered the burning body.
Local law enforcement were first notified after the passerby called 911 around 1:45 p.m., and Suffolk police were later called to the scene, police told the station.
The body was later identified as 36-year-old German Guzman, also of Amityville, according CBS New York.
The investigation is reportedly ongoing.
