(CBS) ANN ARBOR, Mich. - A 34-year-old Ann Arbor woman was knocked unconscious during an argument with her husband when he hit her in the head with a pineapple, police say.
Ann Arbor police Lt. Renee Bush said officers responded to the University of Michigan Hospital Friday night after the staff told them of the alleged assault. The incident took place at the couple's home earlier that night, reports AnnArbor.com.
Police say the woman did not cooperate with authorities beyond giving them basic information, Bush said. Hospital staff only told police that they believed the woman had been assaulted with the tropical fruit.
Law enforcement went to the home and found evidence of a fight in the living room, Bush said.
Officers were seeking an arrest warrant for the 42-year-old husband, police said.
