Make Your Friends Think You're Away From Your Desk

As I believe I've mentioned before (once or twice), Gmail is my email client of choice. But one thing that annoys me pretty regularly is that by logging on to my account, I am sending the message out to my Gtalk buddies that I am either available to chat or too busy to deal with them. What if I want them to think that I am simply away from my computer? All the IM programs I use let me pretend that the machine is idle, and now with a little workaround called gAlwaysIdle, I can configure Gtalk to do the same. Now, I don't have to waste time chatting with folks, and I don't look like an aloof jerk! (via Web Worker Daily)
