(CBS) - Times are tough. Electric wheelchairs aren't cheap. In situations like this, a little ingenuity is called for. Like this woman, who has created her own automatic wheelchair. Eight wheels, one motor, no walking.

That thing's got some speed. Of course, if you're going to pay for gas, maybe you should take a car? What kind of mileage does a lawnmower get anyway? Regardless, the lawnmower wheelchair is a marvel of human invention. Or a ridiculous example of human lethargy. It's in the eye of the beholder, really.
