Literary Twins For Hollywood Duo

She is an award-winning actress.

He is a film director, actor, writer, and producer.

Together, they have six children.

Now, Jane Seymour and her husband, James Keach, have written two children's books: Splat! and Yum!

The main characters are kittens named This One and That One, and are inspired by their 2-year-old twin boys, Kris and John.

Explains Seymour, "When I was pregnant and the doctors were referring to 'A' and 'B,' they would say: 'This one is bigger than that one' or 'That one wants to get born before this one.' Everyone says: 'This has more hair than that one'Â…'You get this one, I'll get that one'."

All the characters in the book are based on members of the Seymour-Keach family:

  • Big Jim, the daddy cat
  • Lady Jane, the kitty-cat actress who does TV commercials
  • K.K. Cool Cat
  • Jenny Clever Cat
  • Surfer Cat
  • And, of course, This One and That One
All the stories are based on incidents that have happened in Seymour-Keach household. For example, Yum! is about James Keach's great love for chocolate chip cookies.

Keach says the books' message to readers is to "experience life together as a family and love one another."

Phil Roman, who works on The Simpsons, is making a one-hour movie based on these books. A percentage of the profits from Yum! and Splat! is going to the Christopher Reeve Foundation for Spinal Injuries and ChildHelp USA, to fight child abuse.
