Listeria death toll reaches 29
(CBS/AP) A deadly outbreak of Listeria illness from tainted cantaloupe has now killed 29 people, after federal health authorities say an eighth person has died in the state of Colorado.

Across 28 states, 139 people have been sickened or killed, the CDC said Wednesday.
Even though the tainted Colorado cantaloupes have been off store shelves for weeks, symptoms of listeriosis can take up to two months to appear. Who's most at risk? Older adults, pregnant women, newborns, and adults with weakened immunity. Symptoms include fever, chills, muscle aches, and stiff neck.
Deaths also have been reported in Indiana, Louisiana, Maryland, Nebraska, New Mexico, New York, Oklahoma, Texas and Wyoming.Jensen Farms in Colorado recalled the cantaloupes Sept. 14.
