Lindsay Lohan Sends Cease and Desist to Dad Michael Over Diary
NEW YORK (CBS) Despite Lindsay Lohan's recent return to normal life, the young starlet can not seem to dodge drama in the form of her estranged father Michael Lohan.
According to RadarOnline.com, Lindsay sent a threatening cease and desist letter to her father, ordering him to stop selling her personal property.
However, it is not Prada shoes or a Gucci handbag Michael is attempting to sell.
It is Lindsay's handwritten diary, which she wrote during her 2007 drug rehabilitation stint at Cirque Lodge in Utah, reports RadarOnline.com.
In the letter from Lindsay's attorney Shawn Chapman Holley to her father's rep Lisa Bloom, Lindsay accuses her father of attempting to sell excerpts of the diary without her permission.
The letter was sent to Michael as a warning that if he tried to sell any or all of the diary, Lindsay would have no problem exercising her legal rights and seeking damages for a "grave invasion of privacy," says the gossip site.
Since her release from rehab, Lindsay appears to be making progress and attempting to leave her troubled past behind.
The 24-year-old actress told Vanity Fair that she blames her father for many of the problems in her life, but that she is now focused on the bigger picture and learning to overcome the trauma.
