Lindsay Lohan Getting 250 Letters a Day in Jail

LYNWOOD, Calif. (CBS) Mean Girls star Lindsay Lohan may be winning the popularity contest at the detention facility in Lynwood where she is serving a jail term for violating her probation.

Officials say the young actress is receiving up to 250 letters a day!

Sheriff's spokesman Steve Whitmore even gave Lindsay props and admitted to the Los Angeles Times that "Most inmates don't get as much mail as Ms. Lohan is getting."

You go, girl.

According to the Times, Lindsay has received so much mail it is uncertain whether or not she'll be able to read all of it before she's released - reportedly some time next week.

However, upon Lindsay's release the Hollywood starlet will receive all of her mail and will be able to bring it to her court-ordered rehabilitation facility, where she will have plenty of time - 90 days worth - to catch up on her reading. 

Lindsay Lohan was sent to the Century Regional Detention Facility July 20 for violating her DUI probation.
