Lindsay Lohan did not violate probation by drinking, but no more parties, judge rules
(CBS) LOS ANGELES - Not only is Lindsay Lohan free to go, she's also legally allowed to drink!
Judge Stephanie Sautner, who presided over the actress's latest court date Thursday, ruled that Lohan did not violate the terms of her probation in a 2007 DUI case.
This time.
According to TMZ, while Lindsay did reportedly fail an alcohol test on June 13, only one day after she held a rooftop party in Venice, Calif. she actually shouldn't have been tested at all. It turns out that the order requiring Lohan to submit to alcohol tests expired back in February.
Prosecutors asked to reinstate mandatory drug and alcohol testing for Lohan; Sautner declined the request, says ABC News.
The judge did say however that Lohan was guilty of poor judgment.
"Having parties on the roof of your house ... is extremely poor judgment," Sautner told Lohan.
The judge ruled that Lohan may now have only one friend at her home at a time; no more parties for Lindsay.
In a press conference after the hearing, Lohan's attorney Shawn Holley told reporters, "[Lohan's] in compliance with the rules and laws of the State of California. She has done nothing wrong."
Lohan even showed up to court on time!
