Lindsay Lohan — Nice, Not Naughty

Lindsay Lohan is still on the wagon and is demonstrating a little willpower.

On Christmas Eve, she partied at Lotus, one of the hottest nightclubs in New York City. But a source told The Showbuzz that the "Bobby" star didn't have one drop of booze.

Lohan was spotted with a group of friends, including Brittney Gastineau, the former star of "Gastineau Girls" and "Filthy Rich: Cattle Drive."

"She came in at 11:30 with Brittney and three other guys — it was clearly nothing romantic — they were escorted to banquettes that's on the main floor," the source said. "Anytime Lindsay comes in, that's where she will go. Her friends shared a bottle of vodka, but she even told the manager that she wasn't drinking."

The source said Lotus doesn't usually allow people under 21 but for VIPs like Lohan, the club makes exceptions. Even if she wanted to drink, the bartenders wouldn't serve her knowing that she is under 21, the source said. Lohan sipped on Red Bull instead.
"They know the promoter on Sunday night and (were) hanging out with them," the source said. "Brittney and them were drinking and were wild."

The group stayed at the club until 3 a.m., at which point Lohan treated her friends to a snack bought at the hotdog cart outside, according to an item in the New York Daily News.

Lohan's rep declined to comment.

Lohan has endured a barrage of negative press in 2006. Most recently, the New York Post's Page Six had printed several excerpts from rambling e-mails Lohan sent to her friends.

But at least for the holidays, Lohan, a Long Island native, seems to have returned home. A source told the New York Post that she wants to leave the "toxic" people she had been associating with in Los Angeles and rebuild a healthier life near her family.

Earlier this month, Lohan told People magazine that she had been attending AA meetings for a year but said "it's no one's business."

"I haven't had a drink in seven days. Or anything," she told People. "I'm not even legal to, so why would I? I don't drink when I go to clubs. I drink with my friends at home, but there's no need to. I feel better not drinking. It's more fun. I have Red Bull."

In a statement about "Prairie Home Companion" director Robert Altman's death, Lohan wrote: "Make a searching and fearless moral inventory of yourselves' (12st book)." The "12st book" refers to AA's Big Book, which is a manual for following the 12 steps.
