(CBS) Rapper Lil Wayne, who was locked up for eight months on Rikers Island for criminal possession of a weapon in 2010, will  forever  remember  those days. His diaries are being turned into a  book.

Grand Central Publishing has announced that it will publish a collection of Lil Wayne's diaries entitled, "Gone Till November," about his time on Rikers Island, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

"We are thrilled to be publishing Wayne's prison memoir," Ben Greenberg, executive editor at Grand Central Publishing, is quoted as  saying  in THR. "He kept detailed journals of his inner and outer life while he was on Rikers Island, and they certainly tell a story. They are revealing."

Lil Wayne, born Dwayne Carter Jr., had the best-selling album of 2008 with "Tha Carter III," which won a best rap album Grammy.

The book is scheduled to be released on Nov. 28.
