"Les Miserables" movie poster released

(CBS News) The first poster for the film adaptation of "Les Miserables" has arrived, but it doesn't show any of the big-name stars that appear (and sing) in the film.

What it does show will look familiar to "Les Mis" fans - a close-up of young Cosette (Isabelle Allen), just like the iconic artwork for the musical's Broadway production.

The film, directed by Tom Hooper ("The King's Speech") stars Hugh Jackman, Russell Crowe, Anne Hathaway, Amanda Seyfried, Eddie Redmayne, Samantha Barks, Helena Bonham Carter and Sacha Baron Cohen. All of the cast members sang the film's musical numbers - including iconic songs like "I Dreamed a Dream," "On My Own" and "One Day More" - live during the shoot.

"Les Miserables" will arrive in theaters on Christmas Day.
