LOS ANGELES (CBS/AP) The woman who pleaded no contest in November to slashing the face of actor Leonardo DiCaprio was sentenced to two years in state prison Tuesday.

Aretha Wilson was sentenced by Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Patricia Schnegg after entering her plea to assault with a deadly weapon last month.

The "Inception" star, who did not attend the sentencing, required surgery for a gash on his face and neck after Wilson charged at him during a Hollywood Hills party five years ago, armed with a piece of glass.

According to E! News, the 40-year-old slasher spent a year under house arrest in Toronto for an unrelated assault, plus 45 days in a Canadian jail cell, and five months in a Los Angeles jail after she was extradited back to the U.S. to face charges for the attack on the Academy Award-nominated actor.

Wilson's attorney Freddy Sayegh says his client will most likely serve roughly six months after all her "credits" are taken into account.

Wilson also faces the possibility of deportation back to her native Canada once she is released.
