Leahy, Specter Ask Rove's Lawyers To Voluntarily Turn Over Prosecutor E-mails
Sens. Patrick Leahy (D-Vt.) and Arlen Specter (R-Pa.), the chairman and ranking members of the Senate Judiciary Committee, want Karl Rove's lawyer to voluntarily turn over e-mails related to U.S. attorney firings.
Leahy and Specter sent a letter today to Robert Luskin, who represented Rove during the Valerie Plame investigation, asking whether he would voluntarily provide them with e-mails that he had earlier given to Patrick Fitizgerald, prosecutor in the Plame case.
