Leahy And Cheney Are Now Pals Or Something Like That

You never know who you may run into in the halls of Congress.

This afternoon, after leaving the weekly Democratic  policy luncheon, Vermont Senator Patrick Leahy (D) was walking down one side of a marble staircase in the Capitol when he ran smack into Vice President Dick Cheney and his huge entourage, who were coming down the other side, reports Politico's Dan Reilly. Cheney had been attending the Republican policy luncheon.

Cheney famously told Leahy to “go f*ck yourself,” while posing together for a photo in 2004, after Leahy made disparaging remarks about Cheney's handling of the Iraq war. Later, the vice president refused to apologize, saying, “I felt better after I said it.”
