(CBS/AP) LAS VEGAS - Police say one person is dead and two others are injured after an early morning Monday shooting at a Las Vegas Strip nightclub inside Bally's Hotel and Casino.

Las Vegas police Lt. Jay Roberts says the suspected shooter is in custody.

The victims, whose names have not been released, were taken to University Medical Center. The conditions of the two who were injured were not immediately available.

Roberts says the shooting happened about 5:45 a.m. Monday at Drai's, an after-hours club that caters to the late-late crowd. It's located in the lower level of Bally's.

The Strip was the scene of a dramatic shooting and explosion this past winter.

In February, an altercation at a another venue on the strip led to a shooting and car crash where three people died and six others were injured. A death penalty trial in the case is set for Dec. 2 against a man who once bragged about his lifestyle as a pimp.
