(CBS) LOS ANGELES - NBA star Lamar Odom was charged Monday with one count of driving under the influence, the Los Angeles District Attorney's Office said, reports CBS Los Angeles.
The former Los Angeles Laker and Clipper was arrested by the California Highway Patrol (CHP) in the early morning hours of Aug. 30 after officers noticed him driving slowly and weaving in and out of lanes.
The CHP pulled Odom over around 3:25 a.m. after he exited the freeway at Coldwater Canyon Boulevard in Studio City. He was arrested after he showed "objective signs or symptoms of intoxication and was unable to perform field sobriety tests as explained," Officer Ming Hsu said, according to the station.
During booking, Odom refused all chemical tests and, as a result, will have his driver's license suspended for one year under state law, reports the station.
Odom posted $15,000 bail and is scheduled to be arraigned on Sept. 29 in a Van Nuys courtroom.
In recent weeks, TMZ reported that he has been suffering from a drug addiction.
Odom, who is married to reality TV star Khloe Kardashian, is currently a free agent after spending the 2012-13 season with the Los Angeles Clippers.
The 14-year NBA veteran played power forward for the Los Angeles Lakers between 2004 and 2011, winning championships in 2009 and 2010.
