Lady Gaga: "The hacking is over"

(CBS) Free iPad! That's the message you may have come across if you visited Lady Gaga's Twitter page earlier this week.

No, the pop star wasn't giving away an Apple tablet to each of her 17 million followers, but it sure looked like she was. A message read: "Monsters, I'm giving away FREE iPad2?s to each one of you in the spirit of the holidays :) Go to bit.ly/s5MTqM to receive one!"

It soon became clear that her account was hacked - and multiple times, according to Time. Even after that tweet was deleted, another popped up on Gaga's site, promising a free gift

But Gaga got things all sorted out, later tweeting, "Phew! The hacking is over! And just in time, I'm on my way to Japan! So excited to spend Xmastime with my TokyoMonsters!"
