Lady Gaga takes to Instagram to clear up Taylor Kinney breakup rumors
Lady Gaga just wants to clear a few things up.
Despite being on a vacation in Mexico's Los Cabos region with pals, the "Bad Romance" singer got wind of the widespread reports that she and fiancé Taylor Kinney had split up. And she wanted to chime in herself.
Gaga took to Instagram to post a message that didn't exactly refute the rumors but did put a positive spin on her time away from Kinney, who proposed to her on Valentine's Day 2015.
"Taylor and I have always believed we are soulmates," she wrote. "Just like all couples we have ups and downs, and we have been taking a break."
The post included a photo of the two walking away from the camera arm-in-arm. "We are both ambitious artists, hoping to work through long-distance and complicated schedules to continue the simple love we have always shared," she continued. "Please root us on. We're just like everybody else and we really love each other."
In the meantime, Gaga has continued to enjoy her vacation in Mexico with friends -- and without her engagement ring.
